Study of the Free Damped Oscillations of an Elastic Rubber Band Using a Smartphone
摘要
The new interest in using smartphones as laboratory instruments for classroom physics experiments stems from their potential to conduct a diverse range of educational experiments using affordable equipment. This article presents a study on a damped oscillator, which includes an elastic rubber loop and a mass. We investigated the oscillations using a smartphone. The basic model was used to evaluate the experimental data, yielding insights into the viscoelastic and non-linear characteristics of the rubber material.
