This research is centered on the application of AIGC technology to endow traditional Chinese cultural elements with new vitality in graphic design. With the continuous advancement of artificial intelligence, AIGC has been increasingly utilized in the realms of art and design. Meanwhile, traditional Chinese cultural elements possess abundant visual symbols and distinctive aesthetics. Integrating these two aspects can not only bring innovation to the expression of traditional culture but also foster intelligent and diversified design. The study endeavors to analyze the function of AIGC in enriching the cultural connotation and enhancing the visual effects of graphic design through intelligent generation, digital replication, and visual innovation. By means of literature review, relevant literature on AIGC, traditional cultural elements, and graphic design will be systematically sorted out. Successful cases of AIGC in integrating art and culture will be summarized, and innovative approaches for the inheritance of traditional cultural elements will be explored. Questionnaires will be distributed to graphic design practitioners and students to understand their comprehension of AIGC technology, usage patterns, and attitudes towards the application of traditional cultural elements, thus exploring the acceptance and cultural adaptability of AIGC generative design. Research findings indicate that AIGC technology remarkably boosts design efficiency. It can automatically generate patterns, motifs, and colors of traditional cultural elements, facilitating the modern representation of these elements, enhancing creativity and aesthetic value, and promoting their global dissemination. Designers’ collaboration with AIGC stimulates innovative thinking, and users hold a positive attitude towards AIGC - designed works. However, there remains room for improvement in cross - cultural design and other aspects. By constructing a multicultural database, strengthening algorithm optimization, and enhancing cross - cultural team cooperation, its cultural adaptability can be enhanced, opening up new avenues for graphic design innovation and the inheritance of traditional culture. AIGC technology offers robust support for the application of traditional cultural elements in graphic design and holds broad potential in the future field of cultural creativity.
