The results suggest that there is no significant difference in comprehension between correct and error-containing captions generated by the model. Kikujyutsu is one of traditional carpentry skill to draw lines using a square. Traditionally, it is learned by drawing a diagram representing the slope of the roof and memorizing how to place a square requiring years of training. Addressing the challenge, we developed an interactive tool to support the learning process that comes with a 3D model representing a part of roof, showing how the wood marking position changes in relation to roof slopes. We conducted a series of user studies using a tablet device with an master carpenter and apprentices, and evaluated the effects of the tool qualitatively and quantitatively. The result implies that interactive visualization of slopes and square placements on a wood plank helped the comprehension of a specific part of Kikujyutsu, and remarkably enabled even a lay person to complete a marking task without any instructions.
