Labour shortages, rising complexity, and increased workloads are prompting policymakers and companies to prioritise employee wellbeing. While technology can help, debates often focus on available solutions rather than workers’ needs. A demand-driven approach identifies wellbeing needs within industries and integrates technology into the work organisation. In manufacturing, we created 10 research-based personas to represent workers facing wellbeing risks. Scenarios illustrating how tailored technology and organisational measures could help were developed and transformed into one-page comics.
