Any industry’s worldwide growth presents challenges, highlighting the necessity of thorough analysis and long-term management. As an evidence-based technique, lifecycle assessment (LCA) has become more and more popular in research. This tool supports decision making at broad and specific levels. On a larger scale, this aids in developing strategies, exploring scenarios, and evaluating policy options. At a more focused level, they typically address issues related to specific products or processes. Applications of LCA to a broad range of conservation initiatives in industries are examined in this chapter. Based on principles from green chemistry, sustainable development, this study seeks to establish guidelines for greenness. It considers the complexity of research problems as well as socioeconomic and environmental sustainability.
