In addition, this research work provides business practitioners with useful information on how to design and implement effective knowledge management systems that not only enhance competition but also allow the business to be more environmentally responsible. Furthermore, it supports public policy by fostering the wide adoption of green practices in many sectors of the economy. Ultimately, this study argues how innovation can be aligned with social and environmental objectives and considers this as a strategic contribution to the fight against poverty.

The interconnected roles of organizational culture and knowledge management in promoting green innovation are becoming increasingly important in an era where environmental responsibility is a top priority. It is essential to understand how knowledge management practices, supported by a collaborative and learning-oriented organizational culture, can drive green innovation. This research investigates the mechanisms through which knowledge management facilitates green innovation by leveraging organizational learning, cross-functional collaboration, and past experiences to develop comprehensive and sustainable solutions. Some of the key questions posed by this study comprise the effectiveness of the knowledge management practices in relation to the green innovation and SDG outcomes, the role of leadership as a mediator in integrating green knowledge management and green organizational strategy, and the ways to design green knowledge management systems to address poverty issues. Applying the principles of green knowledge management and green innovation, this research attempts to fill in the gaps on their interplay.
