This final chapter summarizes the contributions of each of the previous chapters. It then discusses extensions involving automatically inferring spatial relations in narratives, and AI image understanding. The latter feeds into further work in capturing the structure of movie narratives using LLMs. The chapter then speculates as to the future directions, discussing how Generative AI can revolutionize studies in the humanities, the co-authoring of literature and films, and detecting narrative network structures that rely on conspiracy theories. The chapter ends with a link to the final version of NarrativeML including its extensions to handle some of the above.
