Common findings in endoscopy include normal, non-pathological findings that can be observed during endoscopic evaluation (like colonic diverticula) and significant findings that justify medical/endoscopic/surgical intervention like ulcers and polyps/tumor. Common findings in asymptomatic persons are not well described as it is much more adapted to perform investigation in diseased/symptomatic patients. Thus, the few systematic studies identifying normal findings in asymptomatic persons are precious. We describe in this article the appearance at capsule endoscopy, with possible variations, the epidemiology, and differences with classical colonoscopy, of usual diagnostics during colonic examination with a capsule endoscope. In particular, colonic polyps/neoplasia presents with a frequently different aspect at colon capsule compared with colonoscopy.

摘要
