Trajectory data provide space-time profiles of all vehicles driving in a certain measurement area during a certain time interval. Since it contains the complete geometric and kinematic information, this data category represents the “gold standard” of traffic flow research. It is obtained externally by extracting the trajectory information from images of cameras mounted on fixed or moving platforms (unmanned aerial vehicles) where the latter now has become the standard. Even if modern unmanned aerial vehicles show a remarkable electronic stabilization, this process is error prone and leads to a multitude of errors that become particularly relevant when acceleration information is to be used.

摘要
