Factors Affecting Halal Supply Chain Implementation in Food SMIs to Achieve Sustainable Performance

The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors that support the application of halal supply chain management to sustainable performance (SP). The background of this research is due to the low knowledge and commitment of food SMEs to implementing the halal supply chain. The research method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach. The sample used in the study was food SMEs. The study used a significance level of 0.1% with a t-statistic value of 1.289 (df = 102). The results showed a positive and significant influence of the halal product demand factor and the integration of supply chain partners in the implementation of the halal supply chain on sustainable performance. In addition, the results also show that the most influential aspect of the sustainable performance dimension is the economic aspect. The contribution of the economic aspect is because halal food products will increase profits for food businesses. This research is expected to be a solution in implementing the halal supply chain to ensure halal products are marketed and develop businesses to support sustainable performance.
