Boats can travel at high speeds, but they are difficult to turn on the spot or maneuver in tight spaces. However, there are many tasks that can be performed more efficiently on the water, such as water quality surveys, facility inspections, and disaster response activities, by using a vehicle that can turn on the spot and maneuver in confined spaces. Therefore, the authors developed MINAMO (Multidirectional INtuitive Aquatic MObility), a personal vehicle that can move intuitively in all directions on the water. However, in the process of moving toward practical application, several problems have been identified with MINAMO, such as the size of the boarding area, maneuverability, and expandability of use. This paper presents the design and development of the new MINAMO to solve these problems. First, we will organize the improvement requirements from the problems, and then explain the detailed design concept of the new MINAMO that satisfies the improvement requirements.

摘要
