In this study, we used the point granting feature of our proprietary app to examine differences in point granting behavior in an online community towards people who are not acquainted offline, depending on whether the points are given anonymously or with identification. The analysis revealed that the rate of becoming a Lurker is lower in cases where recipients are specified compared to cases where points are granted to all users. Additionally, it was confirmed that in all cases where the anonymous feature was used, points were granted to all users. These results provide new insights into the impact of point granting methods and anonymity on behavior within online communities.
