This study focuses on the optimization of the user experience of the intelligent tour guide system in children’s museums, and proposes a user experience model that includes five core dimensions: information access richness, content interest, operation convenience, game interactivity and sensory experience. Based on the nautical theme of the Shanghai Children’s Museum, a gamified intelligent tour guide system is designed, incorporating innovative elements such as task-driven, role-guided, and multi-sensory interactions to enhance the visiting experience and learning effect of children users. The study used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis to verify the reasonableness and validity of the user experience model by analyzing questionnaire data and behavioral records from 50 groups of families (children and their parents). The results show that game fun and interactivity have the most significant impact on user satisfaction and intention to use, and the richness of information access and sensory experience play an important role in enhancing learning interest and immersion. The practical results show that the designed tour guide system significantly enhances the child users’ sense of participation and learning motivation through rich and diverse tasks and immediate reward mechanisms. This study provides theoretical support and practical guidance for the digital design of children’s museum guide systems, and also provides innovative methods that can be used to optimize the cultural education of museums in the future.
