Quality-in-Use for AI
摘要
Traditionally, the quality of systems and software has been discussed in SQuaRE (System and Software Quality Requirements and Evaluation) and applied to development sites. In this context, the product quality model and the quality-in-use model have been proposed as quality models, and nine and three quality characteristics have been defined, respectively. These were originally proposed in 2011, and were subsequently revised in 2023 to accommodate new technologies. On the other hand, for AI, a standard called AI Quality Management was published in 2023. This standard discusses product quality and quality-in-use. However, since these are based on the 2011 model, they need to be replaced with new versions. However, due to the characteristics of AI as a new technology, the new 2023 version cannot be applied as is. This paper discusses the challenges of applying quality-in-use in AI quality management, particularly with new proposals.
