In the event of a rapid evacuation serious maritime calamity, the Free-fall Lifeboat (FFLB) must be launched to ensure a safe maritime evacuation. The behavior of FFLB in the design phase must be assessed. This study's primary goal is to investigate how friction coefficient sensitivity affects FFLB dynamics during evacuation for all practical FFLB launch operations. A mathematical model is utilized to estimate the FFLB's accelerations and motion during its launch from a moving ship. Skid angle and friction coefficient are taken into consideration since they assist the FFLB escape the hazardous region to minimize the likelihood of an accident during launch. The proposed mathematical model is validated by comparing simulation and experimental results.

摘要
