Research and Development of Tension Controller in Electric Cable Winding Mechanism

In cable production line systems, torque and tension control are crucial. Controlling the elements of moment and tension will ensure accuracy in the production process, avoid product fragmentation, and improve production efficiency. The dynamic equations are analyzed in this study, and a PID controller is designed to control tension for the electric cable winding mechanism. Matlab software is used to simulate the design and collect responses of the closed-loop control system. The results of the physical model and the simulation were compared, demonstrating the proposed controller’s effectiveness. The results serve as a basis for further research on applying precise control to electric cable production systems.
