Curriculum and Syllabus Design
摘要
There is a wide range of literature that discusses and explains the options for curriculum design in Higher Education. In this chapter, there is no intention to merely reiterate what has been said before. Instead, a number of key aspects will be discussed to illustrate how the translation of cultural items can be usefully embedded in a translation programme. This chapter will discuss the design process with the concepts of holistic design, backwards design and constructive alignment in mind. After discussing what these mean for the design of teaching content that addresses the translation of cultural items, we will look at a practical example how these rather abstract notions can be applied in practice.
