Effective communication is key in educational settings, especially during presentations where stress can disrupt the accuracy and fluency of speech. This study explores how stress affects students while presenting academic projects, integrating cognitive psychology with Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, carrying out an experiment with fourth-year Multimedia Engineering students at the University of Alicante. This experiment involved collecting physiological data-such as heart rate and breathing rate using IoT devices during their presentations, as well as analyzing psychological data using questionnaires provided before and after them. The findings show that IoT tools can effectively measure real-time stress indicators, providing insights into high-stress moments. A web interface was developed to visualize this data, offering an intuitive means of interpretation. This technology is a valuable resource for educators and specialists, helping to identify stress triggers and develop strategies to improve students’ presentation skills, thus enhancing their overall learning experience.

摘要
