This paper explores the potential of applying embodied interaction theory to cross-cultural education. Traditional methods often overlook the role of bodily interaction, limiting learners’ immersion, participation, and learning effectiveness. Based on embodied cognition theory, this study proposes an intelligent assistance system that guides learners to interact with virtual scenarios through postures, movements, and expressions, providing immersive and personalized experiences to deepen users’ cultural understanding and empathy. Experimental results show that embodied interaction influences learners’ cognition, emotions, and behaviors through mirroring mechanisms and movement resonance, helping them cope with cross-cultural adaptation challenges. The research findings, to a certain extent, enrich the theory and practice of cross-cultural education and expand the design space of human-computer interaction in educational contexts. Moreover, this study emphasizes the importance of establishing user trust, highlighting that creating smooth, synchronized, and seamless interactive experiences is a key factor in ensuring the successful implementation of the system.
