Recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) have reshaped industries and redefined creativity, sparking new possibilities for cultural innovation. This study explores how AI-generated content (AIGC) can enhance educational activities by supporting visual design and creating meaningful experiences through cultural products. The research focuses on three objectives: (1) examining the role of AIGC in driving cultural innovation within educational settings, (2) designing an “Academic Ferris Wheel” experiential learning product to improve engagement and cultural understanding, and (3) analyzing the effectiveness of immersive design in fostering emotional and sensory connections. A qualitative case study approach integrates action research and participatory observation to design and evaluate an educational activity. Using the “Welcome New Students” event at the Graduate Institute of Creative Industry Design, National Taiwan University of Arts as an example, this study draws on Laozi’s philosophy of “thirty spokes share one hub” to create a wheel-themed USB drive symbolizing academic growth. AI-generated visuals and sensory design elements are used to strengthen emotional resonance and engagement among participants. By merging AI technology with cultural tradition, this study demonstrates how AIGC can preserve heritage, inspire creativity, and offer a replicable model for designing impactful and culturally meaningful educational experiences.
