Multifunctional FPGA-Based System Using Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM) Technique for Medical Ultrasound Research
摘要
Innovative medical ultrasound imaging techniques require extensive control over parameters used on complex waveform generation. Therefore, different FPGA-based systems have been proposed to address this necessity. The system proposed on this paper also presents a flexible graphic user interface designed on Matlab to make pulse encoded generation faster and with easily controlled parameters, such as central frequency, excitation method and pulse duration using pulse amplitude modulation technique. The system is able to drive up eight element transducers, making it a convenient platform for transducer development and testing.
