The study addresses the automation of the Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) test using the Raspberry Pi, aiming to enhance diagnostic efficacy in detecting inflammatory conditions. The research explores the integration of the Raspberry Pi with the cell phone camera, automating image capture for clinical analysis. The methodology includes Raspberry Pi configuration, physical assembly with LEDs, breadboard, and sample tubes, device integration, and calibration. Results demonstrate the feasibility of the system, with indicator LEDs and photographic recording of abnormal results. The discussion highlights the possibility of synergistic integration with other biological tests. The project contributes to the simplification and enhancement of clinical analysis, promoting faster and more accessible diagnostics.
