Headaches are a common condition, affecting many people globally. They can be primary, resulting from dysfunctions without a clear cause, or secondary, linked to specific medical conditions. The usual treatment involves medication, however, these can have side effects. Alternative approaches are also an option, usually providing only temporary relief. One proposal for cranial pain and temporomandibular joint disorders is the use of myofunctional plates, although these do not consider mandibular advancement, nor the craniofacial imbalances present in each patient. This study proposes the innovative development of a personalized intraoral device that makes it possible to orthopedically correct deviations of the maxillomandibular complex in patients with chronic primary headaches. With device development, we increase the variability of treatment options. It is expected that in clinical studies with patients, there will be improvements in their perception of pain and that orthopedic changes will be observed in the analysis of cephalometric radiographs. The KM Monoblock Device aims to improve oxygenation promoted by mandibular advancement, and the search for craniofacial bone and muscle homeostasis in patients suffering from self-reported chronic headaches.
