The effects of the scarcity of water resources and the obligation to improve the efficiency of water use in agriculture require the development of localized irrigation technology. The research aims at exploring sustainable practices of micro-irrigation technology SLECI (Self-regulating, Low Energy, Clay based Irrigation) in farming based on the analysis of the case study carried out in Morocco. The exploratory research was used in this work. The study focused on SLECI technology implementation in Morocco. The analysis of SLECI implementation in Morocco allows concluding that SLECI serves as a sustainable practice of micro-irrigation in farming. From the social and environmental perspectives of sustainability, SLECI showed positive results. The economic costs of SLECI use in Morocco, in comparison to conventional drip irrigation system, appeared to be higher.

摘要
