Social networks have become the means of communication for companies dedicated to the fashion industry, who have applied different digital marketing mechanisms with the intention of influencing the purchase decision of potential customers. The objective of the research was to determine the relationship of the use of influencers in the purchase decision of clothing brands in the millennials of the city of Tarapoto, Peru. To do this, we carried out a basic, non-experimental, descriptive-correlational and cross-sectional research study; We obtained a sample of 374 millennial clients, to whom we applied two questionnaires of the variables under study, structured in 12 and 15 items with Likert-type responses. The main findings indicated that 73% of millennials stated that the level of use of influencers was high, of which Instagram influencers are the most prevalent with 59.4%, in addition 73.8% of millennials indicated that your purchase decision was good; on the other hand, we verified that the use of influencers from Facebook, Instagram and YouTube are significantly related to the purchase decision, because in the individual statistical tests it was found that the p - value was equal to 0.000 and the coefficient of correlation was 0.637, demonstrating the direct and significant relationship of the variables. We conclude by accepting that the use of influencers is significantly related to the decision to purchase clothing brands in millennials from the city of Tarapoto.
