摘要
New technologies have revolutionized the tourism sector, bringing about major changes. Nowadays, Internet is a way of access for communication and promotion for all companies that want to promote themselves by using Web pages as a cover letter for their customers. Similarly, the role of customers has also undergone significant changes due to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). They are increasingly demanding of companies and claim other types of customer service, they begin with the search for information on the Web and end up sharing their experience with their family and friends, which is something valuable for companies. Due to the importance that Web pages have acquired, in this study a comparative analysis of the Official Websites of the Protected Designations of Origin (PDO) of Extremadura will be developed in order know their quality level, as well as to identify their outstanding aspects and areas of improvement. To carry out this analysis, a questionnaire with 12 parameters and 103 indicators has been prepared, based on the methodology used in the research project “Online communication of tourist destinations” (CODETUR, 2013), adapting it to the analysis of the web pages of the PDO of Extremadura. Finally, a series of conclusions and recommendations are presented for these websites on possible improvements in particular areas. The main conclusions indicate that the Web pages have more developed Technical Aspects and Communication Aspects (0.67), and less developed Persuasive Aspects and Relational Aspects.
