Sustainable Urban Policy for Transit-Oriented Developments: Framework for Achieving Urban Sustainability in Different Urban Life-Cycle Phases
摘要
This chapter investigates urban sustainability indicators in Transit-Oriented Developments (TODs) and proposes a comprehensive classification framework based on life cycle phases and sustainability pillars. By combining a literature review with insights from two European research projects, it identifies key indicators and indices related to TODs, focusing on their applicability in different urban life cycle stages. The chapter aims to bridge the gap between sustainable urban policies and TOD implementation by providing city planners and decision-makers with a normative framework for indicator-based policy-making. This approach ensures that TODs contribute more effectively to sustainable urban development, aligning with broader sustainability goals.
