Throughout the course of the chapters presented in this book we have sought to outline how this unique multi-stakeholder collaboration provided a rich community context for our exploration of a transdisciplinary research approach. It represented a flagship example of how combined insights from social and technical disciplines can support real-world impact. We hope this work can act as a useful contribution for researchers seeking to undertake similar approaches to transdisciplinary, action-orientated sustainability. In concluding, we provide some final remarks on the Dingle Peninsula as our study area, we outline the role of research in responding to the societal challenges presented by climate change and situate our investigation in relation to broader trends towards new means of approaching problems. To close this chapter, the final words are given to Deirdre de Bhailís, manager of Mol Téic/Dingle Hub to look forward towards the future on the peninsula.

摘要
