Introduction
摘要
Fiction and Poetry to Help Us Age; Criticism and Reflections by Professors of English is a collection of essays by scholars who write about literature that has sparked meditations on the subject of aging. These essays share much in common with traditional literary critiques, in that they rely on current scholarship to inform their readings. But they are also personal reflections, explaining how fiction or poetry by authors ranging from the classical dramatist Euripides to those still alive and publishing have prompted personal thoughts on the aging process.
