In todays business world digital transformation is crucial because it has a big impact on how organizations are structured run and engage with their partners. Traditional management models and business procedures are undergoing significant changes as a result of modern companies active adoption of technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) blockchain big data and the Internet of Things (IoT). However, these changes are creating new legal challenges that require revision of existing corporate law rules. Legal issues related to digital identity, e-commerce, data protection and smart contracts are becoming relevant in the digital economy. In this chapter, we will review key aspects of digital transformation that affect corporate governance and propose approaches to the legal regulation of emerging challenges.
