The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Providing Legal Support for Businesses: Perspectives on Linguistic Analysis

The introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) into various fields of human activity, including the economy, has led to a significant shift in the way legal services are provided for businesses. AI is now capable of performing most of the tasks that lawyers traditionally handle, such as drafting contracts, analyzing documents, and preparing for court proceedings. However, it is important to note that AI functions effectively only within specific frameworks and algorithms developed by experts in the field. Through mimicking human cognitive processes, AI can analyze language in stages corresponding to different levels of human thought: perceptual, conceptual, and practical. The verbalization of the stages of linguistic analysis is achieved through the use of natural language processing modules, including morphological, lexical, syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic analysis. Each of these modules operates according to a specific algorithm, so the main purpose of using artificial intelligence in legal business support is to provide lawyers with information about the processes involved in the functioning of these linguistic analysis algorithms when processing legal texts. This article presents the results of a study on the features of artificial intelligence systems used for the linguistic analysis of legal documents. During the analysis it was found that legal AI systems use specific combinations of methods and algorithms for natural language processing in order to analyze legal texts, allowing them to select the most appropriate tool for a particular purpose. An analysis of the capabilities of various artificial intelligence (AI) systems has revealed that the main algorithms used in linguistic analysis include text segmentation, the identification of key terms, the analysis of sentence and paragraph semantics to remove ambiguity in the word meanings, the determination of tone, and an algorithm for recognizing named entities and their relationships.
