The abandonment of non-renewable energy sources is primarily related to the current climate situation, and programs for phasing out the consumption of hydrocarbons are increasingly being approved. In accordance with this, issues related to the application of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the process of developing the field of renewable energy extraction are becoming relevant. At present, researchers are particularly interested in both issues related to the physical possibility of using these mechanisms for the development of the industry, and the specifics of legal regulation of such activities. The purpose of this study should be considered the need to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the prospects for the development of artificial intelligence algorithms and digital law in the field of renewable energy sources. Based on the set goal, the object of the study will be the legal regulation of the application of artificial intelligence and digital law in the use and development of renewable energy sources in the Russian Federation, and the subject is the specifics of their use in the mentioned energy sector.
