A Review of Sustainable Agriculture – A Way to Modify Food Systems

Universally agriculture is facing formidable challenges due to a rise in population, different food patterns of people, environmental degradation, depletion in natural resources and change in climatic conditions. The challenges that the agriculture and food systems are facing demands several keen alterations in different sides of activities by human to reach the goals of sustainability. To feed the world there is a need to safeguard our biodiversity and the ecosystem. There are some new and hopeful changes in the field of agriculture with some new opportunities and technologies which have promising results in improving agriculture and its sustainability. Acquiring sustainable agriculture practices is pivotal at this time. This review paper endeavors to comprehensively explore and analyze the sustainable agricultural practices due to their benefits in ameliorating soil health, income of small farmers and their food security in a way that will not harm the environment or other organisms and also increase the resistance towards the effects of climate change. The aim of this review paper is to appraise the fruitfulness of sustainable agriculture practices by examining their effects on food security. By conducting an extensive review of scholarly literature, empirical studies, and social perspectives, the paper aims to present a balanced and nuanced understanding of sustainable agriculture practices to end the food hunger and to modify the food systems of our country to eventually meet the sustainable development goal to end hunger by 2030.
