The paper attempts to provide a thorough overview of the current state of green building projects and their potential to generate a more sustainable future in urban development through data analyses and case studies. Green building has become a standard in the construction industry and is a crucial foundation for sustainable growth. Green buildings are intended to lessen their negative effects on human health and wellbeing as well as their burden on the environment. Implementing green building practices has advantages for the environment, the economy, society, and people’s health and safety. Implementing green buildings is not without its difficulties, though, as there are large upfront expenditures, a lack of knowledge, and a lack of incentives [1]. The primary obstacles to the application of green building practices are the shortage of competent labour and construction supplies, and the high cost of low-carbon building components. Green buildings have emerged as a different approach to lower energy use, improve environmental conservation efforts, and improve human well-being in spite of these obstacles. According to a thorough analysis of the literature on green buildings, buildings account for over two-fifths of all energy expenditures worldwide. Green buildings have emerged as a substitute for traditional methods of reducing energy use while improving environmental conservation and human well-being [2, 3].
