Chapter 2 provides an overview over the applicable international, bilateral and regional IP and free trade agreements as well as the national IP legislation in Central America. The chapter also discusses in detail the institutional framework in each country, including patent and trademark offices, courts, public prosecutors and other stakeholders relevant for the protection and enforcement of IP rights.
