This paper explores the new trends, application scenarios, and implications for designers of Artificial Intelligence Generated Design Content (AIGC) in the field of spatial design. First, starting from a multidimensional perspective of spatial design, the importance of interactivity and digitization for spatial perception is emphasized. Second, the trend of AIGC-integrated spatial design is discussed, emphasizing the impact of customization, sustainability, and personalization of the digital era on design. Next, a variety of application scenarios of AIGC technology in spatial design were detailed, including multimodal generation of content, pre-data analysis and content creation, conceptual drawing generation and program deepening, and 3D model generation. Designers need to adapt to the development of new technologies, have an interdisciplinary knowledge structure, and improve the efficiency of the design process through digital means. Designers are able to focus more on strategic design decisions and create richer, more practical design works for users. This change brings challenges as well as provides designers with a broader creative space, heralding a richer and more innovative development of spatial design in the digital era.
