As Artificial Intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly integrated into everyday products and services, older adults face challenges in navigating and leveraging these technologies due to limited knowledge and understanding. This research investigates the experience, motivation and preference of older adults in learning about AI, aiming at designing a curriculum to enhance their understanding and use of AI-enabled products and services. Based on the analysis of data from 182 survey respondents and 33 interviews, the study identifies key areas of concern regarding AI literacy training for older adults and proposes a curriculum focused on hands-on learning, practical application, and building confidence in adopting AI technologies. The curriculum adopts a blended learning approach, combining in-person sessions and online resources, to accommodate varying learning preferences. This paper contributes to addressing ageism in AI technologies by equipping older adults with the knowledge and skills needed to understand and use AI-enabled products and services.
