Implementing artificial intelligence (AI) in education is envisioned as a revolutionary change addressing fundamental pedagogical issues. However, this perspective tends to overlook educational systems’ complexity, and the profound social and cultural dimensions associated with these technologies. This paper proposes an interdisciplinary framework integrating educational, media, and cultural studies to describe and analyze AI's diverse educational phenomena and impacts, presenting a visionary outlook for future research projects. Our ongoing research critiques the recurring repetitive discourse surrounding educational technologies—characterized by hype, hope, and disappointment cycles. Rather than viewing technology merely as a tool to solve fundamental pedagogical challenges, we emphasize the necessity of a nuanced, interdisciplinary perspective that accounts for the intricate interplay between AI and the sociocultural context of education.

摘要
