Paths to a New Historiographical Territory: International Crossings, Visiting Economists, Travelling Models
摘要
A number of Richard’s research projects have concentrated on exchanges of economic ideas, theories or models (Arena 2003; Arena and Schmidt 1999; Arena, Dow and Klaes (Eds.) 2009). The subject was just beginning to be addressed and, since then, a number of works have tackled the question of the international circulation of both economic theories and economic patterns of expertise: French, Italian or Spanish readings of Adam Smith, Thomas R. Malthus, David Ricardo or The General Theory; Joseph A. Schumpeter’s readings of Léon Walras or Alfred Marshall; Neo-Ricardian interpretations of Sismondi: North American receptions of Keynesianism; European interpretations of the Austrian theory of knowledge; French socialists confronting British theories of value Austrian readings of Alfred Marshall.
