The face of the auto industry is about to change as nowadays, electric vehicles are being preferred over the fuel vehicles as it is much better for the environment. An electric motor in an electric car uses electricity from a battery and can be charged externally. The key components of an electric system of a vehicle are battery charger, battery, controller, and the motor. Proper functioning of these components is must for a vehicle to function. For the vehicle under study to operate well, one needs be aware of the reliability metrics and how sensitive certain components are. Markov model, Supplementary variable techniques (SVT) and Laplace transformation approach are used to find these measures. We have also taken a numerical example whose output is shown with the help of graphical representation.
