AIGC-Assisted Exploration of the Spatial Layout of ‘Rong Xi Hall’ in ‘A Dream of Red Mansions’
摘要
This research is based on the original text of ‘Dream of the Red Mansions’, which describes the main hall of the Rong Guo House, ‘Rong xi Hall’, and intertwines AIGC with classic Chinese literature. The purpose of this study is to explore the intrinsic connection between the spatial layout of ancient feudal aristocratic families and the culture of rituals, to explore the relationship between similar spatial layout and the psychological activities of the characters in today’s society, and to condense the common design language. Firstly, the research method combining text analysis and visualisation is used to refine the keywords of the relevant descriptions in the original book, and then transform them into visual scenes with the help of the AIGC platform. Finally, the empirical research method is used to compare the scenes with the original novels to demonstrate the advantages and disadvantages of this path. The result reveals the layout characteristics of ‘Rong xi Hall’ and the etiquette of characters’ activities, reflecting the glory and honour of the family. Finally, it summarises the design rules of similar spaces and condenses the Chinese design language.
