Abduction and Release of Abductees
摘要
Abduction is defined as the ‘taking away of a person away from a place by force’ (see: See https://www.britannica.com/topic/abduction ). The term ‘kidnapping’ is often used to describe the same process but expands the definition by describing the process as the unlawful taking and carrying away of a person by force or fraud or the unlawful seizure and detention of a person against his will. When coding abductions undertaken by JNIM, events were not coded as abductions when they did not fit this definition.
