Application of Virtual Reality as Tool for Knowledge Assessment

Virtual reality as an innovative tool finds various applications in education, including for the purpose of assessing students’ knowledge and skills. In this regard, the article addresses the use of Virtual reality as a means to overcome the challenges associated with traditional online assessment methods, which often fail to capture the complexity of the modern educational process. Through an in-depth analysis of the potential of virtual reality, a new approach is proposed that has the potential to increase the efficiency and fairness of assessments. This is achieved through the use of virtual reality, which enables the creation of interactive and engaging learning scenarios simulating real-world conditions. In this way, a more objective and comprehensive assessment of key skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork is achieved. These skills are difficult to measure using traditional methods, but can be effectively assessed in the context of virtual reality. The article concludes with a proposal for integrating virtual reality into the educational process as a means to address existing challenges and unlock new opportunities for more comprehensive and equitable assessment of students’ knowledge and skills, aligned with contemporary educational needs.
