Knowledge Building to Enhance Collective Student Efficacy
摘要
Knowledge Building is an educational innovation proposal that has developed remarkably over recent decades. Knowledge-building pedagogy emphasizes the collaborative exchange of ideas and strategies to address authentic real-life problems. This paper explores the application of knowledge building principles within the classroom setting. The case study focuses on students enrolled in a course within the Computing major. In this course, students collaboratively work together to solve a problem, developing strategies, ideas, and products to complete their tasks. To evaluate the effectiveness of this approach, we performed an initial analysis of academic artifacts through comparative word clouds and expert vocabulary visualizations. Considering the principles of knowledge construction in a learning experience, this study contributes to how changes in these elements can enhance student engagement and effectiveness in productive Knowledge Building.
