The Central American and Caribbean Dry Corridor (CACDC) region faces significant challenges to ensure food security, such as quantifying climate change impacts, understanding water management risks, securing financing, accessing technologies, and addressing gender and digital gaps. These obstacles hinder effective strategies to mitigate and adapt to climate-related challenges in agriculture. In this context, acquiring knowledge and information is crucial, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions and implement proactive measures to strengthen the agricultural sector’s resilience. AgroIN4 envisions integrating Industry 4.0 (IN4) technologies—like 5G networks, IoT, Blockchain, AI, and Data Science—into a knowledge management system. This sustainable, intelligent, and inclusive platform aims to revolutionize agriculture by improving data acquisition, precision agriculture, and resilience against climate change while being educational and empowering rural women. This initiative seeks to bridge the digital and gender divides and align with the European Green Deal, paving the way for a sustainable, resilient, and advanced future for the agri-food sector in the CACDC.
