Ammonia is present in the smoke of cigarettes and also in tobacco products such as moist snuff. Its analysis is usually performed using ion chromatography and various methods for ammonia analysis are presented in this chapter. The collection from cigarette smoke of ammonia is also discussed in the chapter. In addition to ion chromatography, derivatization followed by HPLC analysis is also described in the chapter.
