This chapter presents methods for the analysis of TPM, water, nicotine, and carbon monoxide. The main part of the chapter is dedicated to the analysis of nicotine where several aspects of this problem are presented. This includes a presentation of the analysis of nicotine in tobacco, cigarette smoke, the aerosols of e-cigarettes, and also analysis of nicotine enantiomers, and the evaluation if nicotine is from tobacco or it is synthetic nicotine.
