Quinoline and styrene are toxicants listed as HPHCs by the FDA in the US, but pyridine and substituted pyridines are also described in the literature as having toxic characteristics. In addition, together with pyridine and quinoline, is analyzed styrene. Styrene is also analyzed in the group of volatile organic compounds. All these compounds are analyzed in cigarette smoke using various methods, usually based on GC-MS.
