This chapter presents the boundary element formulation of thin plates. The development of the boundary integral formulation, part of the governing equations given in the last chapter, is also presented. This integral form presents the discretization of the integrals using the boundary element method and the application of the Dual Reciprocity Boundary Element Method to transform the domain integrals into boundary integrals. At the end of the chapter, application examples for static and dynamic problems are presented.

摘要

This chapter presents the boundary element formulation of thin plates. The development of the boundary integral formulation, part of the governing equations given in the last chapter, is also presented.
