Bankruptcy and Competition
摘要
After a war of liberation and fraught negotiations, Rhodesia became independent as Zimbabwe. But the economic sacrifices Zambians had made to aid the struggle for majority rule were not to be requited. Economic mismanagement and lack of diversification led to a stalled recovery. Discontent grew and, in the wake of the example of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the overthrow of communism, citizens forced multiparty elections and Kaunda was overthrown. With the new free space of choice came a spirit of entrepreneurial endeavour and of feminism.
